Understanding the Waterproofing Therapy Process
Step 1: Cleaning of Surface
Remove dust, oil, grease, and loose particles thoroughly from the surface to ensure successful and long-lasting waterproofing. We promote proper washing as it is essential to eliminate these contaminants and create a strong bond between the surface and waterproofing materials.
Step 2: Repairing Surface and Filling Cracks
To effectively repair and fill cracks, it is essential to widen them first. We accomplish it using a thick paste mixture of cement and our Agarwal Build Care Protek. By widening the cracks and applying this specialized mixture, you can ensure thorough and durable surface repair.
Step 3: Application of Protek+
After filling the cracks and preparing the surface, dampen it and use a brush to apply Protek+ over
the entire surface. Protek+ will penetrate deeply into the pores, forming a protective film that prevents water from entering.
Step 4: Application of ABC Fiber Mesh
To reinforce the waterproofing system, we start applying Agarwal Build Care Fiber Mesh over the surface, specifically covering the vertical side walls or skirting. After evenly applying the fiber mesh, we proceed to apply a second coat of Protek+ uniformly. The inclusion of Protek+ in this step adds strength to the waterproofing due to its high tensile strength and resistance to alkalis.
Step 5: Application of Protek+ with Cement
To create a protective layer for waterproofing, we prepare a paste by mixing Protek+ and cement with water in a ratio of 1:4:4. We apply this paste over the surface using a trowel, ensuring two coats for optimal coverage. This application will enhance the effectiveness of the waterproofing treatment on the surface.
Step 6: Application of Roof Seal
Roof Seals can benefit as a hydrophobic barrier, protecting the surface from water, heat, and cold. To create a hydrophobic barrier and provide insulation against heat and cold, we combine 20 liters of Roof Seal with 10 liters of water and apply the mixture directly onto the surface using a roller. This application will effectively shield the surface from water and provide thermal insulation.
